HISTORIC MASS AT WESTMONT COLLEGE!
 
You may know that Fr. John Love went to Westmont College here in Santa Barbara for his undergraduate studies.  You may not know, however, that on March 3rd, 2010 he and a team comprised of St. Mark's University and St Raphael's leadership celebrated Mass for about 20 Catholic Westmont students. As far as we know, this is the first time in Westmont's history that Mass has been celebrated on the Westmont Campus.  We were grateful to Westmont President Gayle Beebe and his staff and some faculty members who allowed us space and time to meet and share fellowship and common experience together on campus. Way to Go Westmont! We also thank John Vaselina and Laura Schuberg for helping to arrange the evening.  We at St. Mark's hope that this is the first of many future events for Roman Catholic students at Westmont, who have historically had to travel down to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Montecito to attend Mass or other Catholic events.  Please contact Laura Schuberg  for information about future events for Catholic Westmont College students!
